Well I think I have a date tonight or at least that’s what I had planned. I met a girl named Shyla who is a teacher currently living on the south side of Chicago by Midway. I told her I would call her this evening to see if she was free to go out but if not she said she had her weekend nights open anyway so I will have to wait on her response for now. Anyways things are fine now and work is going great. I still have to make definite plans for NYC this week if I want to go. I should probably get hot on that and have my tickets booked by this weekend. Lets hope that Whittey is on track with this too. I’m still having problems signing up for blogspot*plus for some reason but I hope to get this solved sometime soon.

So much for Truman College. What a joke. I am defiantly not going there. I went there today and did not like what I saw. For starters the parking was hard to find and once I did find it there were not a lot of spots, not to mention the lot was in bad shape. Once I got in the building I noticed that it was not very clean and in general did not seem as user friendly as the Wright campus. What I mean by that is I did not see as many signs or maps of the campus and the personnel working in the halls were kind of like security people working on the night shift in an old building. Last but not least when I went into the student advisory office I noticed the staff was not as outgoing and the wait to speak to an advisor was about an hour. Needless to say I’m sure I will not be looking into going there any more. Yesterday my friend Eileen returned my message that I left her about some info about her experience at Wright College in which she attended for some classes before and she told me it was a very good school. I know I can trust her opinion on that for she is a teacher herself. Come this August 6th I will be taking a placement test at the Wright campus.
I am currently studying a review course that they offer for this test online. I think the content is pretty interesting and somewhat difficult in a couple of areas but I’m sure with some time I can absorb enough to help me to prepare. Other than all that, this week I will be purchasing my first (laptop) computer. I am really looking forward to getting used to having this great resource for aiding all my academic needs. I better get to bed so I can make it to work on time tomorrow.

This sucks’. It’s raining this morning and I have no work today. I drove all the way to Barrington this morning only to be told we would have to take the day off. Oh well I’m not that bothered to tell you the truth I can use the time off to my advantage and do some things that I have been meaning to do.
Yesterday I was at sister Mary’s house for Ciera birthday/graduation party in Woodridge. The party was fun and I got a chance to see some family for a change, how nice. I was still hung over though from the night before so when I got home I just sat around and watched sportscenter all night until I finally crashed at about midnight. Sunday we had some tremendous rainfall I hear on the far south side suburbs that led to a lot of flooding, it make me realize how good I have it living on the second floor. I remember when I used to live in a basement how I would get waterlogged every time we had a big rain. Needless to say I don’t miss that.
Other than that I am trying to plan another trip to New York this for this Labor Day weekend. I guess It’s going to be myself and Whittey heading over to visit brother Daniel in his new pad, I hope it’s a little bigger than his last one. Hey, maybe we’ll get to a Yankees game while were there.

Well I just got back from my practical exam and not a minute to soon. I was really felling the heat on this one. As I was doing my cooper project I almost had an anxiety attack. I was cool at the start but once I really got into some of the mathematical formulas the sweat started to drip from my forehead down to my chin. I had to work out such equations like finding the square root of numbers like 7,826 all without a calculator. Not to mention all this while being on a tight time limit. To go along with that, there were about four union officials standing around me. I know what does that have to do with plumbing? Well you’d be surprised. Once you had all your numbers figured out you had to put it all together and solder together all your joints perfectly straight and of course water tight. I can say I did ok but of course I wont know for a few weeks. The second half of the test was much less stressful for it was a drawing on some fairly basic residential plumbing design. I took my time with it and got it right. Needless to say I hope this is the last plumbing test that I take for a long time.
Anyways I read on espn that Lance Armstrong has all but sealed the deal on his fifth straight tour victory. What a feet! That to me is like the equivalent of winning ten straight heavyweight-boxing championships. I say this because I know that cycling is much an individual sport as is boxing. It all depends on how prepared you are mentally and physically not like most team sports where your other teammates can sometimes carry the load so to speak. Not to take away from any of my other beloved athletes, such as Brain Urlacher that play on team sports, but I have to give credit where credit is due so congrats to the ‘Texas Cyclone’ I’m impressed.
Anyways I am off to visit Truman College today as well as a few other places so I will go now and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Do ya like my new link? O.K. then try it out why don't ya!

Long time no blog I know but hey what a ya gonna do? Actually the last three times I went to blog I could not even get to the blogger site so don’t blame it all on me. Anyways I just got back from the gym and I feel like a million bucks, not to mention I got some good color at Mary’s house today out by her pool, it was lovely.
Tomorrow I will visit Truman College to take a look at the campus at meet some people on the staff. It will have to be pretty good to beat the experience I had at Wright College in which I visited on this past Monday. I was pretty impressed with the place including staff, campus itself, and the all around feel I got from just going there. Regardless of where I end up going this fall I am really just looking forward to getting back in the swing of being back in the classroom and learning as well as excelling my future with education. I think I am going back at the perfect time being that I am now finished with plumbing school (thank God) and especially with fall and winter coming up I think school will be the perfect way for me to stop from becoming a couch potato over the winter. I will start off with only one class (most likely English) and hopefully work my way up from there. I am not putting any pressure on my self to win any awards in academic achievement or anything like that but I know in my heart that this is something I want to pursue so I will give it my best shot.
Well enough of all that college talk for now I’m sure I will be writing about it a lot in the near future. For now I have one more test on Saturday and then I will enjoy the rest of the good weather this summer has to offer and try not to work to hard, for work is the opposite of fun.

Tonight should be my last time going to this plumber’s night school thank God. I have a final review for this second half of my license at 6:00 tonight. The test is actually on Saturday the 26th, I should have my results and hopefully license in about 2-4 weeks after that. I am eager to finish this whole thing and move on to better learning, I mean I only want to know so much about plumbing. Anyways work is fine, as a matter a fact I picked up a sweet side job this week, a bathroom addition on the south side, should be a great money maker.
Other than that I’m off after my dinner to Harry S. Truman College in Chicago for a look at the campus amongst other things, should be interesting.

I’m off to run some errands right now. I am also going to look into taking some classes at one of the Chicago colleges. Wright College on Narragansett and Truman College on Wilson ave.

Was down by the lake today. I wish I could show you some pictures. Chicago is such a hot town in the summer. The lake front was packed with all kinds of things to do, no to mention all the hotties. Last night was great, I went down to the Irish American heritage festival and got fucking loaded. I met up with some old friends and later met these two chicks and went to Galvins' pub on Lawrence where an old co worker of mine was singing on stage. The night ended up with kissing and joyful goodbuys, I got one of the girls numbers as well. Tonight looks like much the same.

Well today was a pretty good day I would say. I saw the most amazing cloud configuration over my jobsite this morning at about 9:30. It looked so different we could of swore that a tornado was going to hit. The tornado sirens even went off in Barrington I heard. I mean the whole entire sky was filled with swirling clouds. I cant really explain it I guess you just had to be there to appreciate it. Oh well I guess I live to plumb another day.
After work I caught some of the cubs game and the went down for a nap, later though I got my ass up and went to balleys and had a great workout. I really need to go there about three to four times a week for a while to help me get back into shape not to mention its great for overall energy. Adam was supposed to come up today but his car is in the shop and he could not make it up so he wont be up until Thursday now. That’s ok I now have time to plan something for then. I suppose we will go for some grub and catch a movie or something. Tomorrow I have to stay active and get myself going in the right direction again.
Well heres the deal. I ended up having to start up a new blog for my old one somehow just stop working. Thanks to bloggercontrol for not responding to my email regarding this problem I have to start all over again. I now have to figure out how to save all the content from my last blog then delete it so I can use the upgraded blogspot* that I am paying for. Not to mention it will enable me to still upload photos and also get rid of that cheesy advertisement on top of this blog. My new web address for this blog is www.bmacsjournal.blogspot.com.
So anyways enough of me venting about my frustrations about blogger I just want to write in a normal entry today for it has been so long since I did even that. Work today was fine. I am still working in Glenview on those townhouses with Tomek my new Polish buddy. Boy was it sticky today not to mention all the rain we got. I guess we need it so I wont complain. I was actually just out on my bike and got caught in yet another small rain shower but I didn’t mind, to tell you the truth it actually felt good in 85-degree weather. Other than that my life during the week is so fucking boring, I go in and out of depression almost weekly. I cannot wait until my roommate moves out for he is probably the most depressing person I have ever lived with. He has got some serious issues. He locks himself in his room all day and avoids any confrontation with me at all times. I think he is a skitsofranic. Whenever we happen to meet here the odd time like in the hallway or the kitchen he does not even say hello. Needless to say you can see why am looking forward to seeing him go. No offense to the guy but he is bringing me down and I don’t need that I have my own issues to deal with. Not to mention I have a lack of people (friends and family) living on the north side to keep me active during the week. I really need to get involved with new things to keep me from coming home every day and just napping and not doing shit for the rest of the day.
Come September 1st I will have that room to myself again and I don’t know if I even want another roommate. I defiantly am not going to put an ad in the ‘reader’ again. The only way I will live with someone again would be if it is with someone I know and I want to live with i.e. a cousin or friend from Ireland or something like that. One option that could happen is my good friend Adam who currently lives in Lemont with his parents may move in with me. I know he is looking for a teaching job in the city and tells me he is defiantly moving up to the north side of Chicago to live for a while. Other than that he said if that doesn’t work out he knows a girl who is also looking to move to Chicago from D.C. where she is going to school. She may be attending Northeastern Illinois University down the street so that too could also work out. He said she would be a great roommate. I know I can trust his judgment of character. I think until my roommate moves out and Adam moves up here I am just going to have resort to going out and getting plastered with people like Massart and Whittey on the weekends. I know it sounds sad but that’s my life in a nutshell. I know I really need to get on the ball in pursuing other things outside of work besides drinking. I honestly think I am going to start taking some sort of school now that I am done with plumber’s night school. It seems to be the only solution for my lack of a life right now.
