Well Oh my God! I guess I can now post a blog entry again. It has been so long since I have blogged for I was not able to post and publish an entry for some odd reason. To tell you the truth it was very frustrating. I had gotten so used to writing about my life every other day that when I couldn’t do this all of the sudden I really began to realize how much of a venting tool it really is. Not to mention I have had a lot of good stories to tell and good pictures to share that I have really missed putting in my blog to look back on one day. Oh well, to tell you the truth I am just happy to be back.
Lets see where will I start. Since I wrote last I have received good news about my plumbers license test that I had been stressing about for so long. I passed the written part of the exam(the hard part) and will have to take the practical part of the exam on July 26th. I hope to have my license in hand by August. Work is going just fine. I have been kind of going from job site to job site lately just filling in time where they want me to. I have been working mainly in the north suburbs like Evanston, Wheeling, and Glendale on some really nice housing projects. I actually met this Polish guy named Tomek who I refer to as ‘Mr. Tomek’. He is a pretty cool guy for a Pollock. We actually went to ‘Yedynka’ nightclub this past Saturday night and had a pretty fun time. The place was packed the music was cool and the women were plentiful. He is actually from the south-side but is planning to move up the the north-side very soon so I’m sure I will be going to some more clubs with him in the near future.
The other big thing that happened since then was my sister Catherine’s wedding in Dekalb, IL. That took place on Saturday, June 21st. The wedding was perfect. For starters the weather was perfect, the mass was very nice and the reception was a blast. Not to mention we had four very close and deer relatives over from Ireland who came to see the wedding, not to mention brother Daniel who came in from NYC. All in all it was a great week, we got together a few nights on the south side for some drinks with family and friends to get ourselves warmed up for the wedding. I took Beata as my date to the wedding and I’m sure she had a good time too. The day after the wedding we all gathered at brother John’s house for a bbq. All of that weeks festivities eventually got to me so I had to retreat back up the the north-side for some rest. Since then things have calmed down and next is the fourth of July. I don’t have any plans just yet but I’m sure the Albany Park gang (including two new additions Mike Egan and his girlfriend Kristen) might have some plans. To end this blog for today I took the day off today to go to the DMV (drivers motor facility) to get a parking permit and I stood in line for two and a half hours. What a joke! Never again. Until next time. C U lata.

How about them Cubs. Finally a win. Sorry Yanks no sweep in Chicago. I actually rode my bike to Wrigley Field today to see all the hype was about. There was a huge crowd on the streets mainly because they had a huge screen TV to view the game on. I took a few photos of what I saw and just enjoyed the atmosphere and of course the Cubs’ big win. Chicago seems like a pretty happening place to be this weekend especially with the Yankees in town. The Lincoln Park Fest is going on and I here there are going to be some good performers playing. I myself may head down there later on my way to a bar I was invited to earlier. I hope to meet up with some of the gang tonight and have some drinks.
Last night Beata and I saw the movie ‘Bruce Almighty’ with Jim Carey and Jennifer Anniston. What a laugher. I would suggest this to anyone who is in the mood for a great comedy. Jim Carey puts on a great performance as usual and Jennifer Anniston plays his girlfriend. It got a little cheesy at the end but all in all it was very funny. That’s all for now, enjoy a few pix from today.

We finally had a great weather day in Chicago today. I can’t believe how long it’s been taking for this shitty weather to finally break. Of course tomorrow it is supposed to rain go figure. I have not had a forty hour week in quit some time do to rain and other appointments so I hope to get tomorrow in to make it a full forty hour week.
Besides that this weekend I think I am going to my future brother-in-law’s stag party in Madison, Wisconsin. I was asked to go today and feel reluctant to refuse, besides I think it could be a good bonding experience for us. That’s all for now, I hope to have some new pix from all this weekends happenings in my next blog.
